July 12th 2022, at Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine (PNTU), a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signing ceremony took place between Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine and Champasak Medical College, Laos.

Attending the signing ceremony, on the side of PNTU, we are honor to have Assoc. Prof. Nguyen Thanh Hiep – Rector of PNTU; Assoc. Prof. Tran Thi Khanh Tuong – Dean of Faculty of Medicine; Dr. Dang Tran Ngoc Thanh – Dean of Faculty of Nursing & Medical Technology; Dr. Vo Quang Trung – Deputy Dean of Faculty of Pharmacy; along with others who are also leaders and specialists of other departments and offices of PNTU.
On the side of Champasak Medical College, we are honor to welcome Dr. Siphan Panyasavath – Rector of Champasak Medical College; Mr. Timith Souvanna – Vice-Rector; Dr. Chansamone Thanabouasy – Vice-Director of Department of Health of Champasak province; Mr. Khamphong Buaphasane – Vice-Director of Department of Foreign Affairs; along with other teachers who are leaders of the units of the Champasak Medical College and the Hospital of Champasak province.

Dr. Siphan Panyasavath – Rector of Champasak Medical College informed that the College currently has 04 training programs including a full-time College of Medicine; College of Nursing with full-time and joint system; College of Midwives regular and connected system; Pharmaceutical Intermediate. The purpose of the visit is to exchange directions for cooperation in training expertise of the two institutions. With the content of exchange of management experiences, training programs, cooperation in health science research and improving the educational level of the College staffs, creating conditions for the development of the College to meet the University standard and become Champasak University with the main mission of training medical human resources for the 4 provinces of Southern Laos as well as for the whole country of Laos.
Pic 3. Dr. Siphan Panyasavath presented his wishes in developing a cooperative relationship with PNTU, especially in the matter of supporting to improve the education level for staffs and lecturers of the Champasak Medical College.
After the meeting, the two sides agreed on a cooperation agreement with the following contents: 1. Exchanging experience on training program management; 2. Cooperating in health science research; 3. Cooperating in organizing classes and seminars to support the improvement of postgraduate education for staffs of Champasak Medical College.
